Two Screens, One Wall, Zero Welding or Drilling: A Floor-to-Ceiling T-Slot Monitor Wall

Two Screens, One Wall, Zero Welding or Drilling: A Floor-to-Ceiling T-Slot Monitor Wall

Meeting rooms have a familiar problem. You want big screens that everyone can see, but a wall mount isn't always an option, whether the wall is glass, a partition or simply not up to the load. A custom steel frame is expensive and slow, and a stock trolley looks like an afterthought.

One of our customers solved it for their client with a floor-to-ceiling monitor wall built from T-Slot ModBuild products. It's clean, fully adjustable and looks like it was designed with the room.

The Brief

The client needed two large 60" monitors spanning the full width of their meeting room, with:

  • Full horizontal and vertical adjustability, so screen positions can be fine-tuned or changed later
  • No reliance on the wall for support
  • A premium look that suits a professional meeting space
  • A quick installation with minimal disruption to the business
  • A sensible budget

The Design

The structure is simple, which is the point:

The deep 40 x 80 section gives the columns plenty of stiffness over a full room height, so the screens sit steady with no sway or wobble. The 4040 cross members are light and strong enough to carry the monitor loads across the full width.

No Drilling. No Welding.

This is the part we're proudest of.

None of the T-slot members needed to be drilled, cut for fixings or welded. Every connection is made with brackets, T-nuts and bolts that slot into the profile's channels. The only fixing into the building is where the floor and ceiling brackets are bolted down.

That means:

  • No welding crew, no hot work permits, no fumes in an occupied office
  • No machining of the profile, so there are no swarf, burrs or touch-up paint on the black anodised finish
  • No specialist trades. It's built with basic hand tools and a spanner
  • No mess. A quick install means the room is back in use fast

Adjustable in Every Direction

This is where T-slot beats any fixed frame. Because every bracket and T-nut slides along the slot, the monitors can be repositioned horizontally and vertically by loosening a couple of bolts, sliding to the new position and tightening again.

If the client changes screen size, adds a camera or soundbar, or just wants the screens a little higher or lower, it's a five-minute adjustment, not a rebuild. Cross members can be raised or lowered, and mounts can move left or right along the beam. The system adapts to the room instead of the room adapting to the system.

Looks as Good as It Works

Black anodised T-slot has a sleek, architectural look. The finish is hard-wearing and consistent, the profile lines are clean, and the dark colour disappears behind the screens and blends with the monitor bezels. Add endcaps for finished ends and the result looks designed, not improvised. For a client-facing meeting room, that matters.

Cost Effective by Design

Compared with a custom-fabricated steel frame or a bespoke joinery solution, a T-slot build typically wins on:

  • Material cost. Standard profile lengths and off-the-shelf brackets
  • Labour cost. Fast assembly, with no fabrication or finishing stage
  • Lead time. Order, cut to length and install
  • Future cost. It can be reconfigured or reused rather than scrapped

What Else Can You Build?

The same approach works for far more than monitors:

  • Digital signage and menu board frames
  • Free-standing display walls for trade shows and showrooms
  • Camera and lighting rigs
  • Partition and screening systems
  • Shelving, racking and equipment mounts

If you can imagine a frame, T-slot can probably build it.
